TO JOIN THE INDIAN NAVY AS SHORT SERVICE COMMISSIONED OFFICERS IN EXECUTIVE BRANCH (GENERAL SERVICE/HYDRO CADRE) JAN 2012 COURSE

Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Executive Branch (General Service/Hydro Cadre) of the Indian Navy for Jan 2012 Course at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates to fulfill conditions of nationality as laid down by the Government of India.

Posts : Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer in Executive Branch (General Service - GS/ Hydro Cadre ) - January 2012 Course

Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.5400 and MSP Rs.6000

SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.

Age Limit : 19 ½ to 25 years, born between 02 Jan 1987 and 01 Jul 1992; both dates inclusive

Qualifications : Educational Qualifications. Any of the following :
(a) Science Graduate with Physics & Mathematics with minimum 60% marks from a recognised University.
(b) BE/B Tech with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in any discipline from an institution recognised by AICTE.
(c) Science Graduates (Physics & Mathematics) from a recognised University holding NCC Naval Wing, Senior Division ‘C’ certificate.
(d) Graduate/Post Graduate in Operations Analysis and Operational Research/Quantitative Methods with minimum 75% marks from recognised University.
(e) Graduate/Post Graduate in Mathematics, with Probability or Statistics with minimum 75% marks from a recognised University. Note:- Candidates who have not completed their Graduation (i.e. appearing candidates) need not apply, their application will not be accepted.


Physical Standards.
(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height - 157 cms with correlated weight.
(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant
vision 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.
(c) There will be no relaxation in physical standards.

How to Apply : Candidates have the option of submitting application in 'physical format' or e-application' (Online) for this entry. Candidates can only apply in one of the aforementioned formats. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of his candidature. The candidates desirous of applying online(e-application) can do so from 12 Mar 11. The online application registration will cease on 27 Mar 11.

Online(e-application) : Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the following :
(a) Correct filling up of personal particulars. Details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate.
(b) Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled.

4. APPLICATION FORM TO BE FILLED IN BLOCK CAPITALS AND IN ENGLISH ONLY. PLEASE STRIKE OUT WHATEVER IS NOT APPLICABLE.
5. ATTACH ATTESTED COPY OF CLASS TENTH CERTIFICATE FOR DATE OF BIRTH VERIFICATION.
6. ATTACH ATTESTED COPIES OF ALL OTHER EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATES.
7. APPLICATION AND ENCLOSURES TO BE PROPERLY TAGGED/STAPLED TO AVOID LOSS.
